Class Descriptions

• Little Kings Skating Skills (LK SS): A beginner-friendly class focusing on the fundamentals of skating, providing the essential baseline for all hockey skaters who wish to pursue the sport.

• Little Kings Advanced Skating Skills (LK ADV SS): This class builds on the fundamentals while introducing more complex skating skills to enhance understanding of the skills necessary for the sport. Skaters should already have a basic knowledge of skating fundamentals.

Program Description

Welcome to the Little Kings Program, where new hockey players are made! Designed to build confidence, teach teamwork, and ignite your child’s passion for hockey. Through a USA Hockey-approved format of on-ice instruction, we blend fun-filled activities with essential skill-building drills. The Little Kings Program aims to ensure every child feels the thrill of hockey and the joy of being part of the hockey community. Join us on this exciting journey and watch your child transform into a hockey player!

Class Descriptions

• Little Kings Academy 1 (LK ACAD 1): This class introduces pucks to the ice and requires qualifying skaters to be dressed in full gear. Skaters will focus on stick and puck handling. It is essential that all skaters at this level have completed evaluations for LK SS and LK ADV SS, as they must have the necessary skating experience to concentrate on the advanced skill of stick handling.

• Little Kings Academy 2 (LK ACAD 2): Also requiring full gear and a stick, this class focuses entirely on drills, scrimmages, and teamwork to prepare skaters for actual gameplay.

SEASON: FALL/WINTER SEP 16th, 2024 – FEB 23RD, 2025

Join our Modern Legends In-House League. Teams are coached by our in-house coaching staff whose focus are on skills development with an emphasis on teamwork, giving 100% effort while having fun!

PROGRAM FEES INCLUDE:

One game & one practice/week (except holidays & special events) *schedule subject to change

Full Gear required & USA Hockey Membership 24-25. Draft Skate attendance is highly recommended

Join us for our hockey development training clinics led by Coach Tanner Turcotte

EVERY Monday 510-640pm - Art of stickhandling & shooting drills + supervised scrimmage

Select Sundays 400-500pm - Hockey power skating

Be part of the fun and accelerate player development with our new Legends Academy Drop-in Clinics. These clinics will focus on player performance, skills development and live supervised scrimmage. Classes will also include hockey power skating. Goalies are welcome and encouraged to attend. 

Little Kings Program Player Discounts for Learn to Skate/Play Classes

Currently registered 2025 LKP players will receive a 25% discount and a FREE Learn to Skate membership. Please email the Skating Department to apply your player discount to your registration.

Important Requirements

All Hockey classes require an H.E.C.C.-certified helmet with a full face cage. Full gear is required for Academy classes:

• Academy 1
• Academy 2
• Academy Legends

Full Gear Includes: Helmet, elbow pads, shin guards, hockey pants, hockey gloves, mouthpiece, shoulder pads, and neck guard.
